Name: Sam Parker
Nickname: Sammy P
Why did I get involved with Grab Life by the Balls:
I stumbled across men's health, men's mental health and Australia's suicide statistics, and I was stunned. I decided I wanted to try to do something about it.
Why is Mateship important to you?
Grab Life By The Balls was started to make positive (focus on the solutions, not the problems) and proactive change (doing something before things go pear-shaped). We accidentally stumbled across the power of mateship. Strong social connection, AKA Mateship, decreases risk factors for mental health issues and physical health risk factors and is also linked to living a longer, healthier, happier life. We also have amazing stories from our attendees about how bacon & eggs, a coffee, a beer with other blokes, not only saved their lives but turned their lives around. In a nutshell (pardon the pun), its a simple as having 3 or more close mates.
Sam, can not wait to see where we will be and the impact we are making through mateship and connection in the years to come!
